Every release is measured against a size budget in its own build. Over the line, the build fails.
Next to nothing on your visitors' pages
A plugin adds JavaScript to the public site only when that is its job — a consent banner has to — and then inside a size budget its build enforces. Everything else happens in wp-admin.
Reversible by design
Folders are virtual and simply hide when you deactivate; files moved to the cloud can be brought back, checksum-verified; nothing is written into your theme or builder.
No lock-in
Your data stays in standard shapes — WordPress metadata, JSON, CSS — and uninstall removes every trace when you ask it to.
